Sandra's debut short film, "The Secret Lives of Shopping Carts," WON a bronze award at WorldFest Houston in 2001 for best original comedy short and appeared in more than eight festivals around the country. It was shot on Super 16 and then blown up to 35mm.

Winner! In 2004, she produced, co-wrote and co-directed (with talented comedian, actor and director, Troy Grant) one of the three trailer winners for the Austin Film Festival. Check out “Hip, Hip, Hurr-Austin” in the “Play Short Films” area of this site.
Another Winner! In 2005, Sandra produced, co-wrote and co-directed (with Troy again!) another trailer winner for the Austin Film Festival. Check out “Texas: Wow! It’s Big!” in the “Play Short Films” area of this site.
We have a Three-Peat! In 2007, Sandra produced another trailer winner for the Austin Film Festival. This time, it stars Troy Grant and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ray McKinnon. Check out “Wild as the West Texas Wind!” in the “Play Short Films” area of this site.
"Ooga Ooga," her first mini-DV short, played at the 2005 Los Angeles International Short Film Festival.

Her short script, "Sometimes, Life Sucks," was a finalist in the moviepoet.com short script contest. Production planned for…sometime.
Sandra earned a master's degree in English from the University of North Texas where she specialized in screenwriting. She's been writing ever since.
